"Tango is so fine that when she hits the stage, jaws drop, blood goes to the head, and leaves faces flushed with excitement. In 2005, Jimena Fama recognized the music's allure, went on a musicological quest through Argentina, and then started Tango Conspiracy, an electro-dub-tango band employing live musicianship and electronic elements. The result has been wowing audiences from posh Miami to rich New York, and every television in between thanks to constant shows and a crucial placement on Dancing With The Stars. "

Fox News * Tango Conspiracy @ WMC

"One of the most unique performers to attend WMC this year is the talented Argentine composer Jimena Fama, the leader of the band Tango Conspiracy.
Described as some of the sexiest new music, it’s a combo of electronic electro dub mixed with Tango all using a live band. Fama will be performing March 23 at PAX".

“Jimena Fama is a gifted Composer and performer. She has a very unique sound and her group, The Tango Conspiracy, is incredibly engaging live in person. The instrumentation is exceptional and each musician is a star in their own right. Members from the Friends of New World Symphony loved the show, especially the fusion of Tango music with funk and an element of classical music too. I can see audiences from around the world appreciating and relating to the Tango Conspiracy..”

Young Argentine music prodigy Jimena Fama has once again managed to harness the old-school essence of the tango and kick it to a mod, super-galactic goooooaaal! The emblematic mix of bandoneon and electronic beats on Electro Dub Tango Meets the World came out just in time to pump up enthusiasm for this summer's World Cup. Indeed, that's exactly what Fama had in mind. She added a hysteric, cheering crowd on the number "Euphoria," while lacing "Esperanzas" with the poetic voice of a narrator explaining Argentina's burning desire to be the soccer champion of the world. Then the sly staccato on numbers like "Futbol y Tango" emulated the dribbling of a soccer ball. Yes, many of this album's tunes went great with an afternoon of World Cup watching at the local bar, but they'll live on in fine dining establishments and slick clubs. On "La Conspiracion," subtle heartbeats and Spanish sound bytes in that curious Argentine accent blend nicely with table conversation. Fama's sultry voice on "La Gloria de la Union" is sure to get a few couples doing some sorta twister tango on the dance floor. So Argentina didn't win, and Maradona may still be crazy. But we can celebrate the music when listening to this Tango Conspiracy concoction. In fact, if Maradona were listening, he might say Ms. Fama produced this masterpiece with the Hand of God.
